Two arrested for gang rape of woman in Islamabad’s Centaurus Mall

Accused lured victim to apartment with job offer, assaulted her, and recorded the incident; police act swiftly after her emergency call

A married woman was gang-raped by two people in a flat in Islamabad Centaurus Mall. She became a victim of rape when she was called under the pretext of employment, and the accused made a video of her, too. The incident took place in the area of Margalla Police Station, after which the police took immediate action and arrested the accused.
According to police officials, the affected woman was called by accused Faisal Jalal and Syed Hafeez Ullah on the pretext of employment in Tower A, flat no 606 of Centaurus Mall. When she reached there, both accused raped her and also recorded the video of the incident.
The woman immediately reported on the police helpline 15. As the police received a call, the duty officer, Sub-Inspector Khalid, and SHO Salim Raza reached the area and arrested both accused. After the arrest, they were brought to the Margalla police station, where the case was registered against them.
The effected woman, who was married, was sent to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for medical examination. According to officers, sexual abuse was verified in the preliminary medical report.
According to the police FIR, the woman was called to the flat on the pretext of employment and then raped. When a woman resists then they abuse her. The woman tried to hide in the room, but the accused broke down the door and again abused her. They also threatened her if she went to the police.
Police said that the investigation is ongoing and justice will prevail according to the law.
